I was terrified of making these kinds of decisions until the staff at hoffmann hospice house got involved. The staff there and the staff that came out to take care of mom were completely knowledgeable about every stage my mom went through they were there right up to her last breath! It was so very important to us that mom got to spend some time at home before she passed. Thank you so much 💓 💗 💛 💖 ❤ Hoffman house for making that happen for us!

If I could give Hoffmann Hospice 10 ⭐️’s I would. This place is outstanding. From the initial phone call meeting, to the home meeting a few hours later, to the nurses and case manager arriving at our home, to the staff at the Facility…This place is beautiful inside and out. They care about the needs of your loved one, and are compassionate to the needs of the family members. My mother was suffering in pain and was placed in Hoffmann Hospice to get her pain under control and they took very mild steps to escalate the pain meds till where my mother was under no more pain. The Health Aides are beautiful people…the LVN’s are beautiful people…the RN’s are beautiful people…the Doctors are beautiful people. The administration team was outstanding from every aspect. My mother is a true fighter and fought hard till the very end, but god finally took my mother’s pain away. I want to Thank you all at Hoffmann Hospice for the greatest treatment for me and my family. I 100% recommend you use Hoffmann Hospice and wouldn’t think twice about it.

Our mom lived life to the fullest. She had six children, and taught kindergarten for 25 years. At 92, it became apparent that the end of life was near. Her regular doctor recommended hospice care. We chose Hoffmann Hospice in Bakersfield, California. We, her children, were astounded by the number of people who cared for my mother the last six weeks of her life. Doctor Shannon Smith was her assigned doctor. Lori and Daisy were the nurses in charge of her medications. She had a social worker, a chaplain, bathers, and volunteer helpers who came and kept her company when family members needed breaks. Our main concerns were that she not be afraid or in pain. She was so well cared for that none of us believe she knew she was dying. Everyone who entered her apartment to check her vital sign or to administer medication did so quietly and with as little disruption as possible. What a relief that she didn't suffer! Our sincere appreciation to Hoffmann Hospice for our mom's empathetic care.

I have the complete honor of having my clinical rotation at Hoffmann Home. At first I wasn’t sure I would like it. Working so long in EMS I never thought I’d enjoy the end of life side. The staff and the residents have changed my mind wholeheartedly. It’s not at all what one would think of when they think of hospice. Don’t get me wrong Hospice is an amazing service and well needed, just from the EMS standpoint we’re “rivals”, for lack of a better word. But the sincerity and the absolute selflessness and love in the building by ever single staff member from housekeeping to the owners, whom by the way their office is with everyone else and they too are an active part of this organization. Is mind blowing and has changed my mind completely, to the point I will be applying for a position upon graduation, perhaps sooner if they’ll allow it.

When my auntie was in her final days she was placed at Hoffmann Hospice and the care and support that was given was amazing. The staff were kind and very understanding. The atmosphere was "gentle". The whole family was able to be there to visit, gather and support one another during that very difficult time. Hoffmann Hospice is amazing and I am glad they are a resource for families in Kern County.

We are so grateful for Hoffmann Hospice. They were beyond professional and so compassionate during my dad’s transition at the end of his life. He was able to die at home peacefully with his family and was provided with everything he needed to stay comfortable and free of unnecessary pain. For a person at the end of life needing care and comfort, Hoffmann Hospice is the best. Thank you to all the staff!

I just wanted to thank all the staff who helped our family with the passing of my husband's mother. From the first person we had contact with "Gabby" who accessed our situation with so much compassion and got everything lined up to move her to Hoffmann Hospice Home to ease her pain, to all the staff who took care of her until she passed. They were all so nice and did everything to make sure that everyone in our family understood what was happening and what they were doing to make things as peaceful as possible. Thank you all again for your compassion and care in our time of need. What a blessing your organization is to our community.

My father was in the hospital for several days and was put on Hospice care. He was moved to the Hoffman Hospice Home for his final days. The facility is beautiful, peaceful, and the suites make it a very private place for family members to be with their loved one. The staff were so helpful and kept me informed of his condition. They treated my dad with dignity, care, and respect from the minute we arrived until he passed. The private patio is a nice place to sit for a while, the fold out bed was appreciated, and Mary's cooking was so nice to not have to leave to get a meal. This facility is truly a gift to those going through this difficult process. Thank you for all you did.

My grandpa passed away yesterday 4/28/2019 peacefully. He was admitted Monday 4/22/2019. The staff was very attentive to my grandfather and the family members that were there every day. Once he passed they were very compassionate. They did not rush us out. Gave us time to process what happened. Also the environment was amazing we couldn't have asked for anything better!!! I would recommend this place!! Thank you Hoffman hospice staff for your hard work and care. My grandfather would have been very greatful!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place between the nurses and the social worker and everyone there they were absolutely wonderful if I could give 20 stars I would . They were extremely friendly compassionate and empathetic it was a very quiet and beautiful place. Thank you to all of you I for that's a care of my Mother.
